Bangladesh Bank makes Tk 4,152.37cr net profit

The Bangladesh Bank made a net profit of Tk 4,152.37 crore in the last fiscal year (2012-13), up 7.61 percent than the previous fiscal.   This was stated at the financial statement of the central bank for the FY 13, jointly audited by KPMG Lower Gulf Limited, Dubai, and KPMG Rahman Rahman Huq, Bangladesh.   As per the statement, the total income of the central bank in fiscal 2012-13 stood at Tk 5,533.31 crore while its total expenditure at Tk 1,380.94 crore.   The transferable profit for the central bank in the last fiscal year also stood at Tk 4,072.01 crore, up by Tk 397.78 crore from Tk 3,674.23 crore from the fiscal year (2011-12).   The financial statement of the central bank was approved by its Board of Directors on August 19 this year following the international financial reporting standards. – UNB
