Bangladesh beat Muangthong U-17 team 3-1

Dhaka – Bangladesh Under-16 Women’s Football team now in the Thai city of Chonburi beat Muangthong U-17 Girls Academy team by 3-1 goals in their 2nd preparatory match at the TOT FC Stadium on Monday.

The team is there to participate in the eight-nation AFC U-16 Women’s Championship 2019.Anuching struck twice and Tahura scored one for Bangladesh team in the day’s match.

After the match, Bangladesh Coach Golam Rabbani Choton said, “This is another excellent preparatory game for us as we move closer to the AFC competition, I’m proud of our day’s performance.”

Earlier on Friday, touring Bangladesh women’s team made a good practice in the Thailand beating Chonburi FC Women’s team by 1-0 goal in their first practice match at IPE Chonburi Stadium with Shamsunnahar scoring match-winner for Bangladesh in the 32nd minute.

Bangladesh, which was placed in Group A along with hosts Thailand, Japan and Australia, will start their campaign taking on hosts Thailand in the opening match on September 15 at Chonburi Stadium. Play Japan on September 18 and Australia on September 21, both at IPE Chonburi Stadium.

The champions and runners-up teams of the eight-team qualifying round will represent Asia alongside hosts India in the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup 2020.UNB
