A newly-formed bilateral chamber, Bangladesh-Philippines Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BPCCI), has been launched recently.
The aim of the new chamber is to promote trade and investment between Bangladesh and the Philippines, said a press release on Monday.
Ambassador of the Philippines in Dhaka Bahnarim Abu Guinomla was present at the launching ceremony held at a city hotel on Sunday.
Engineer Rashed Maksud Khan has been named founder President of the Chamber, while Mohammed A Awwal, the Consul of the Philippines in Chittagong, Vice President, and Abul Kasem Khan and Asif Ibrahim Director Finance and Director Operations respectively. (Source: UNB)
