A Bangladeshi national was allegedly electrocuted while returning from India through Boikari border under Sadar upazila on Sunday morning. The deceased was identified as Babu Miah, son of Majid Sarker of Ashashuni upazila headquarters. Quoting Indian Border Security Force (BSF), Maj Anwarul Mazhar, operation officer of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) Satkhira Battalion-38, said Babu Miah died from electrocution while he was returning to Bangladesh. A flag meeting between BGB and BSF personnel was held around 12 pm on Sunday. BGB sources said BSF will hand over the body on completion of post-mortem. (Source: UNB)
