Border Security Force (BSF) of India detained a Bangladeshi farmer in Kamalpur frontier under Shibganj upazil of the district this morning.He was identified as Salim Miah ,27, son of Fazlur Rahman of Shialmara village under Shibganj upazila of the district.
Commanding Officer (CO) of 43 battalion of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) Lt. Col. Jahid Hasan said Salim Miah has some land near the frontier and as he went to his land near border pillar no. 190/3 S at about 9 am, BSF members of Piajbari camp picked up him and handed over to Indian police.A flag meeting was held at company commander level between BGB of Shialmara camp and BSF of Piajbari camp at 5.40 pm today, he added.(BSS)
