Benapole – A Bangladeshi national was found dead on the Ichhamati river inside the Indian territory opposite Putkhali border in Benapole on Monday morning.The deceased was identified as Guljar Hossain, 55, a resident of the area.Lt Col Arifur Rahman, commanding officer of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) battalion-21, said locals spotted his body floating in the river area that falls in the Indian territory on the border in the morning and informed BGB,UNB News Agency Reported.
However, members of Border Security Force (BSF) of India recovered the body.The reason behind the death could not be known immediately.
