Bangladeshi stoned dead by BSF in Lalmonirhat

A Bangladeshi national was stoned to death by members of Indian Border Security Force (BSF) along Bherbherihat border in Patgram upazila on Wednesday.
The victim was identified as Mohammad Nur Hossain, son of Suleman Mia of Jagatber union in the upazila.
Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) and locals said BSF members intruded 50 yards into Bangladesh and encircled Nur when he went to the border area at noon.
The BSF men threw stones at him, leaving him critically injured.
Later, they dragged him to the Indian territory and beat him with sticks, leaving him dead.
Confirming the incident, commanding officer of BGB Battalion-15 Lt Col Mahbubur Rahman said they sent a letter to BSF protesting the killing of the Bangladeshi national
