A bank official was killed as a train hit him at Charkhutar intersection level crossing under Rajpara Police Station in the city on Monday morning. The deceased was identified as Humayun Kabir, 55, a resident of Hargram Munshipara in the city. Witnesses said the Rajshahi-bound train from Amanura hit Humayun while he was crossing the level crossing by a motorbike at about 10:30 am, leaving him critically injured. He was rushed to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead. Khan Mohammad Erfan, officer-in-charge of Rajpara Police Station, confirmed the incident. – UNB
