Banker ARM Akhteruzzaman who was kidnapped in Rajshahi, was rescued in Tangail yesterday evening after 11 days, his family sources said yesterday.Local people found him, hands and legs tide and blindfolded, abandoned besides Nasir Glass Factory in Mirjapur at around 9.30 pm, said Md Hasanuzzaman, younger brother of Akhteruzzaman. He might have been left there by the abductors, said Hasanuzzaman.
According to the family source, Akhteruzzaman, Senior Assistant Vice-president of Exim Bank Limited, was kidnapped from his residence in Sultanabad area in the city by a gang of unknown miscreants on January 21.-BSS, Rajshahi
