Bannya’s newest Tagore album coming in Eid
Noted Tagore artiste Rezwana Chowdhury Bannay is bringing two of her latest music albums in this Eid. Impress Audio Vision will hopefully make them available online during Eid. The albums are ‘Gaaner Jharnatalay’ and ‘Tin Kabir Gaan.’ On May 5 the two albums were launched officially in CD format at Channel i Bhavan. On the same occasion Bannya’s pupil Akhi Halder launched her debut album titled ‘Toma Pane Chahi’ featureing Tagore songs. The three albums were launched marking the coming birth anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore on May 8.
Bannya’s newest Tagore album ‘Gaaner Jharnataly’ marks the tenth consecutive year of bringing a separate album on the occasion of the birth anniversary of the Nobel Leareaute. The album conists of around twelve songs, musically arranged by Pulak Sarkar. About launching the album earlier in CD format she said that in this digital age CD albums still hold a special place. Her other album coming out in Eid ‘Tin Kabir Gaan’ has songs written by Atul Prasad Sen, Rajanikanta Sen and Dwijendralal Roy.
