Dhaka – Barisal Division was trailing by 135 runs against holders Khulna Division on the 3rd day of the four-day first class Tier-1 match of the 19th National Cricket League (NCL) at Shaheed Kamruzzaman Stadium in Rajshahi on Sunday.Replying to Khulna Division’s mammoth first innings total 511 runs, Barisal Division resumed the first innings with overnight total of 94 for 4 and were all out for 296 runs in in 92 overs to be the victim of follow-on.After the dismissal five top order batsmen for 94 runs, number six batsman pairing with national coloured all rounder Shohag Gazi contributed 97 runs in the 6th wicket stand to guide the team toward a respectable total of 191 runs from 94.Shohag Gazi hammered 65 runs off 74 deliveries featuring seven fours and three sixes while Moin Khan scored 151-ball 61 runs hitting eight fours and one six. Besides, lower order Shamsul Islam made 49-ball 30 with five hits to the fence while tail-ender Monir Hossain scored 23-ball 27 runs featuring five fours and a six.Nahidul Islam and veteran national spinner Abdur Razzak grabbed three wickets each conceding 51 and 89 runs respectively while Robiul Islam and Al Amin Hossain took two wickets each giving away 43 and 73 runs respectively.Barisal Division opened the 2nd innings in the afternoon and scored 80 for 1 in 35 overs when the bails were drawn for the 3rd day (Sunday) with Rafsan Mahmud and Fazle Mahmud were in batting with 47 and 29 runs respectively.Al Amin Hossain claimed the lone wicket for 12 runs.Khulna 1st innings: 511 for 8 declared, Ziaur Rahman not out 152, Robiul Islam 114, Tushar Imran 51, Shohag Gazi 4/148, Salman Hossain 2/72 Barisal Division first innings: 296 all out in 92 overs (overnight 94 for 4 in 37 overs), Shohag Gazi 65, Moin Khan 61, Salman Hossain 53, Fazle Mahmud 30.
