BAU condemns attack on its graduates at Dhaka Khamarbari

Mymensingh, Nov 23 – -The Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) condemned an attack on their graduates at the Krishibid Institute of Bangladesh (KIB) and the Bangladesh Agricultural Research Council (BARC) premises in Dhaka on Thursday night. Addressing a press conference at the BAU Vice-Chancellors’ secretariat, they said some miscreants suddenly attacked members of the election commission committee and BAU graduate Mujibur Rahman, ex-BCL president of BAU Sarwar Murshed Justice, BAU BCL Vice president M Anwarul Haque and 3 more others.
They demanded immediate punishment of the miscreants who were involved in the attack.
They also claimed that there was no transparency on the election as 500 voters of Dhaka city had no definite addresses and polling officers were selected from biases and the election was said to be held on Friday.
Later, the High Court gave temporary injunction on the KIB election. BAU Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Md Jasimuddin Khan, Student Affairs’ advisor Prof Dr Md Solaiman Ali Fakir, Prof Dr Shubash Chandra Das, Proctor Prof Dr Md Atiqur Rahman Khokon, associate proctor Prof Dr Md Shohidul Alam and Dr A K M Mominul Islam were present on the press conference. – BAU Correspondent
