BAU observes Mymensingh free day

Mymensingh – Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) held a victory rally on the university campus in Mymensingh on Sunday marking Mymensingh Free Day. To mark the day, Pro vice-chancellor of BAU, Prof Dr Md Jasimuddin Khan inaugurated a victory rally which was brought out from in front of the administration building that paraded the main streets of the university and ended at 'Moron Sagor' a liberation war monument, and was arranged by the National Day Observance Committee of BAU.
Later, Pro vice-chancellor placed wreaths at the monument along with the teachers, students and members of different socio-cultural organizations.
On the occasion, they remembered the freedom fighters of BAU as well as of the country who sacrificed their lives for the independence and sovereignty of the country.
Mymensingh was freed on December 10 in 1971 from Pakistan occupation army. – BAU Correspondent
