Mymensingh – The teachers, students and employee of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry (AH) of Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) celebrated World Egg Day on Saturday with much enthusiasm and amid festivity on the campus.
A colourful procession with different types of poster, festoon and placard started from the faculty building at around 10.00 am and paraded whole campus. BAU Pro-VC Prof Dr Md Jasimuddin Khan inaugurated the rally by releasing balloons in the air.
Later, Prof Dr Jasimuddin Khan distributed egg to the 152 primary students of KB school.
A seminar titled on ‘Eggs for Healthy Life’ was also held at Shilpacharya Zainul Abedin auditorium with the association of poultry science department of BAU and world’s poultry science association Bangladesh branch.
There is no alternative of egg for human healthy nation. For good health, nutrition safety is essential. Egg is an ideal and nutritious food. So egg is essential for building making strong, healthy and resourceful nation, said Pro-VC. – BAU Correspondent
