Dhaka – The first day’s play of the first two-day practice match between Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) XI and England XI was called off due to wet outfield at MA Aziz Stadium in Chittagong on Friday.The rain forced to call off the 1st day’s play of the match without a
ball being bowled and even the toss. The match which was scheduled to start at 10 am was called off at 10:45 am.If rain favors on Saturday, BCB XI and England XI will take the field for the 2nd day’s play,UNB News Agency Reported.The two two-day practice matches were scheduled to be held at MA Aziz Stadium, as part of the preparation of the Bangladesh and the
visiting England teams ahead of their two-match Test series, starting at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium on October 20.The 2nd two-day warm-up match will start on Sunday.BCB XI squad: Abu Jayed, Ebadat Hossain, Kamrul Islam Rabbi, Mosaddek Hossain, Nazmul Hossain Shanto, Nurul Hasan, Rubel Hossain, Sabbir Rahman (captain), Shadman Islam, Shahriar Nafees, Shuvagata Hom and Soumya Sarkar.
