An activist of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) was shot to death and another young man injured with bullets in an attack by miscreants in the city’s Dakhkhin Badda area on Sunday night.
The deceased was identified as Mofazzal Hossain Rahin, 35, vice president of Badda Thana unit of Bangladesh Chhatra League, and the injured as Monu, 32.Officials at Badda Police Station said a group of miscreants stormed into ‘Jagarony Sangsad Club’ in the area around 8:15pm and fired shots at Rahin and Monu, leaving them injured.
Rihan was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where on-duty doctors declared Rahin dead around 9:05pm, officials at the DMCH police camp said.
Monu was sent to Apollo Hospital in the city, according to local people. – UNB
