Dhaka, Oct 22 – The 6th BAPA Foodpro International Expo 2018 is going to be held on 25 to 27 October at Bangabandhu International Conference Center (BICC) in the city. The expo will be jointly organised by Bangladesh Agro Processors’ Association (BAPA) and Extreme Exhibition and Event Solution Ltd.
A total of 149 organizations from 15 countries will be participating in the fair which will be inaugurated by Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed.
High commissioners of India and Canada in Bangladesh will be present as special guests.
BAPA President A F M Fakhrul Islam Munshi share the information at a media briefing at Jatiya Press Club on Monday.
Commercial expansion between domestic and international organisations and the introduction of domestic organizations with modern technology are the main goals of the fair, said the BAPA president.
Chairman of Pran-RFL Group Ahsan Khan Chowdhury said that BAPA has been working relentlessly for the development of food processing sector since its birth.
“Our main objective is to ensure the growing development of the food processing sector and to develop this sector keeping pace with the international level,” he added.
The expo will remain open for all from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm.
Bangladesh Standers and Testing Institutions Director General Sardar Abul Kalam, BAPA General Secretary Md Iqtadul Haque were also present at the programme. – UNB
