Bd minister terms demand for reelection ‘childish’

Chattogram, Feb 2 (UNB) – Information Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud on Saturday characterised the BNP’s demand for reelection as a ‘childish desire’.
“If anyone loses a football match and demands holding the match again, it’s nothing but the tears of children,” he said.
The minister made his remark addressing a programme at Chattogram Zila Parishad auditorium as chief guest. He rather suggested BNP leave behind the ‘negative politics’ and take preparations for the next national election in five years.
Referring the Prime Minister’s invitation to the political parties to Ganabhaban for tea, Hasan Mahmud said, “It is very shameful that BNP and Jatiya Oikyafront did not respond to the invitation. But it is quite natural as they do negative politics.”
“The Prime Minister has shown her kindness by inviting those who killed people in the name of politics and she had shown enough kindness,” he added._UNB
