Beheaded body found in Jessore, bullet-hit body in Rajshahi

Police recovered beheaded body of an unidentified man from Gopalpur Rail Gate area in Sadar upazila of Jessore district while a bullet-hit body of another unidentified young man was found in Rajshahi on Wednesday morning.
The body of the deceased, aged around 50, could not be immediately identified.
In-charge of Jessore Railway Police camp sub-inspector Maniruzzaman Mani said local people spotted the body lying in the area and informed police in the morning.The beheaded body was sent to Jessore 250-Bed General Hospital morgue for an autopsy.
Meanwhile, Police recovered bullet-hit body of a young man from RUET rail crossing at Bhadra in the city on Wednesday morning.
The deceased was identified as Ripan,22, a resident of Shyampur area of the city.
Informed by locals, police recovered the body from the area under Boalia thana at about 8:30 am and sent it to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH) for an autopsy, said Iftekhayer Alam, assistant commissioner of Rajshahi Detective Branch (DB) of police.
Meanwhile, sources at the RMCH said police had brought to the hospital two Shibir activists– Sabuj Ali, student of Binodpur Islamia College, and Shovan, a student of Ramchandrapur BM Technical College––with bullet injuries in the dead of the night.
Sabuj’s family members claimed that police picked up Sabuj from their house in Shyampur area of the city at night on March 9.
Contracted, officer-in-charge Alamgir Hossain of Boalia Police Station said they did not know anything about the duo who was admitted to RMCH with bullet wounds. – UNB
