BFF Polls: Salam Murshedy elected Senior VP unopposed

Dhaka  – Abdus Salam Murshedy has been elected unopposed as Senior Vice-president of the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) again. Chief Election Commissioner of the BFF election 2016, Misbah Uddin informed to press that as the three other aspirants — Manjur Kader, Lokman Hossain Bhuiyan and Dewan Shafiul Arefin Tutul — withdrew their nominations on Wednesday, Salam Murshedy has been declared the senior vice-president unofficially. Besides, Lokman Hossain Bhuiyan also withdrew his vice-presidency candidature nomination. “Murshedy will be declared BFF senior vice-president officially on Thursday,” Misbah told. Murshedy elected for the same post for the 3rd consecutive times from the BFF sitting president Kazi Mohammad Salahuddin-led panel. Now BFF election will be held for 20 posts — one for President, four for Vice-president and 15 for Executive Committee Member — in place of 21. The election will be held at Radisson Blue Water Garden Hotel in the  capital on April 30.However, Wednesday was the last day for the withdrawal of nomination. Seven persons — Ajmal Ahmad Tapan, Amer Khan, AKM Mominul Haque  Sayeed, Dewan Shafiul Arefin Tutul, Sheikh Nizam Uddin, ANM Aminul  Haque Mamun, Abdul Mannan and Mustafizur Rahman Mainu — withdraw  their nomination submitted for the EC Member post.
