BFF Polls: Salauddin-led panel announces manifesto

Dhaka – Kazi Mohammad Salauddin-led Sammilita Parishad on Friday announced its election manifesto ahead of the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) polls slated for April 30.Parishad Chief Coordinator Tarafdar Ruhul Amin read out the election pledges at a press conference in a city hotel.The manifesto focuses on division, district and school-level tournaments for the improvement of the country’s football.The incumbent BFF president-led panel pledged to spread football through every nook and cranny of the country providing financial assistance, coaches and other necessary helps to all the football clubs to help form Under-14, U-16 and U-18 football teams.The Parishad promised to keep the national team busy with football throughout the year if it wins the election.It promised to ensure insurance coverage for all national players, coaches, officials of the national team as well as pay honorariums of coaches timely.
Replying to a question, BFF Senior Vice-President Abdus Salam Murshedy, who has already been elected uncontested, said if their panel wins the election, they will place a demand to the government for keeping block allocation for the football in the national budget. (UNB)
