DHAKA- Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) of men’s section and Bangladesh Ansar of women’s section won gold in the Bangabandhu 9th Bangladesh Games Kabaddi that concluded today.BGB edged past Bangladesh Air Force by 24-22 points in the final to win the gold, held at Kabaddi Stadium. Bangladesh Army and Bangladesh Navy secured the bronze medal in this section.
On the other hand, Ansar beat Bangladesh Police by 15-14 points in the contesting final to win the top prize. The bronze medals went to Narail and Faridpur districts.
Bangladesh Olympic Association’s (BOA) secretary general Syed Shahed Reza handed over the prizes to the winners’ after the finals. BOA deputy secretary general Asaduzzaman Kohinoor was also present there. – BSS
