Dhaka – Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) emerged champions in the Independence and National Day Kabaddi beating Army by 19-13 points with one lona in the final at Paltan Kabaddi Stadium on Thursday.Air Force and Police teams jointly finished third in the five-day tournament, jointly sponsored by the Liberation War Affairs Ministry and electronics manufacturer Walton Group.Minister for Youth and Sports Biren Sikder distributed prizes among the winners as the chief guest.
Senior Additional Director of Walton Group FM Iqbal Bin Anwar and Bangladesh Kabaddi Federation vice-president Nizam Uddin Chowdhury Parvez were also present in the closing function.A total of seven services teams -Army, Police, Air Force, Fire Service, BGB, Navy and Bangladesh Jail – took part in the meet. agences
