West Indies send India to bat first; Gayle backs for WI

Dhaka – India have to bat first as the West Indies skipper Darren Sammy elected to field after winning the toss in the 2nd semifinal of the ICC World Twenty20 at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai, on Thursday.India brought two changes in their squad that played against Australia in the last match.Ajinkya Rahane and Manish Pandey came in replacing Shikhar Dhawan and Yuvraj Singh.

There are two changes also in the West Indies eleven that played against Afghanistan in the last match.Chris Gayle and Lendl Simmons included in the eleven in place of Evin Lewis and the injured Andre Fletcher.West Indies confirmed their semifinal ticket as the Group-1 champion in the Super-10 stage collecting 6 points from four encounters while India as the Group-2 runners-up also collected 6 points from as many matches.West Indies started their Super-10 stage campaign with a 6-wicket win against England; and maintained their winning form against Sri Lanka and South Africa sealing 7-wicket and 3-wicket victories, but upset by the ICC associate nation Afghanistan by 6 runs in the last match.On the other hand, India started with a 47-run loss against New Zealand, but back in the form with three successive victories against Pakistan, Bangladesh and Australia by 6 wickets, 1 run and by 6 wickets respectively.
