Dhaka- Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has issued its highest alert in the bordering areas in Benapole to prevent illegal entrance and smuggling of Indian cows ahead of Eid ul Azha.BGB issued this high alert notification on Monday and it will continued till Eid-ul-Azha.Lieutenant Colonel Ariful Haque , commanding officer of BGB-49 battalion, said they imposed the highest alert and restriction on the movement of people of bordering areas, including Benapole and Putkhali Border from Monday morning.The border forces have already started their patrolling in the border areas, especially at night.BGB increased their number of forces in the area for this alert, added Lt. Col. Ariful.The paramilitary force also urged people living along the border to remain alert in this regard.The restriction will remain in force until further instruction, taken to be at least till Eid ul Azha in early September.BSF, the border force’s Indian counterparts, also issued a similar alert in their bordering areas.UNB news agency
