Dhaka – An employee of a private company was killed as a truck knocked his by-cycle from rear in the city’s Rampura ara on Wednesday.
The victim was identified as Shohagh alias Shimul Hossain, 24, an employee of “Doz internet connection” housed at Shahjatpur in the city. He was residing at Korail slum of Banani.
Sources at the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) said Shimul was going to Khilgaon from his Shahjatpur office by a by0cycle at noon. When he ereached hear Rampura Bazar at around 1:30 pm, suddenly a speedy truck knocked hiom down from rear side at around 1:30 pm.
Critically injured Shimul was rushed to the DMCH where the duty doctor declared him dead at atound 2:30 pm.
Sub-Inspector Abdur Rashid, Duty officer of Rampura police station, said police has already detained the killer truck and its driver Roman, 22, from the spot. – News Desk
