Bangladesh Krishi Bank (BKB) Narsingdi region has distributed over Tk 29,31 crore as agricultural loan among 3,414 farmers of the district during the first six months of the current fiscal 2013-14 through its 21 branches.
Official sources said BKB earmarked Tk 89,35 crore for disbursement as agriculture loan in the district during the current fiscal. The percentage of loan distribution by the bank in the region stands at 33 per cent on December 30.Meanwhile BKB during the same period realized over Tk 33,42 crore
outstanding loan against the realisation target fixed by the bank for the year over Tk 109,50 crore.The percentage of loan realisation by the bank in the region stands at 31 per cent on December 30.An official of BKB said that loan disbursement and realization remained hampered and the percentage of loan disbursement and realization target could not fulfill due to the political unrest.-BSS, Narsingdi
