Bnp accuses PM of lying in statements about opposition

BNP joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed yesterday protested the statement of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, who termed Khaleda Zia as a killer and gave a threat to try her like a murderer.
In a statement he said, the Prime Minister had made another untrue statement claiming that Khaleda Zia was not confined despite additional law enforcers, water cannon, sand and brick laden trucks and police vans were deployed in front of her Gulshan office locking its main entrance from outside.
“The Prime Minister made yet another lie to the nation by accusing Khaleda Zia of killing people by sponsoring blockade programme and making threat to try her as like a killer,” he said.
He put a question to the premier as to whether she knew of innumerable leaders and activists being arrested everyday by keeping the Bnp central office locked up and plainclothes law enforcers killings opposition leaders and activists in the name of ‘gunfight’.
“The heinous and crimes against humanity are being committed  under whose directives? The people know that,” he said.Rizvi saidd the government is continuing its misrule in the country forcibly by confining Khaleda Zia and pouring thousands of opposition leaders and activists including senior leaders into prisons.
The BNP leader accused the government of shifting the responsibilities of sabotage after committing those by its agents to carry out repression on the opposition leaders and activists.
He alleged that the government is also controlling the mass media strictly.
Rizvi compared the state minister for home affairs as Nazi Eichmann, an associate of Hitler as he extended his support to killing of BNP leaders and activists in the name of ‘gunfight’.
“The statement of state minister for home affairs echoed the cheers of pre-historic hunters that they did enjoy after hunting,” he said.
The BNP leader called upon the 20-party leaders and activists to raise their voice against all cruel repression and oppression of the government.
He called upon the leaders and activists of the 20-party alliance to continue the movement including blockade until the right to vote is restored.
In another statement Rizvi Ahmed alleged that the government has taken a “burn and run” policy to create an epidemic of killings and procession of bodies in the country.
‘The pre-January 5 election like situation of committing enforced disappearance of opposition leaders and activists from their homes or other places and recovering their bodies after few days has comeback,” he said.
The statement came following recent killings of some opposition activists including two Chhatra Dal leaders in the name of ‘gunfights’.
He alleged that the government has become desperate again to kill the opposition leaders and activists using law enforcers.
Rizvi alleged that the law enforcers are killing opposition leaders and activists again by taking them away from their homes. Of them, news on killing of 10 political activists has already been published,” he said.
He said police and RAB are carrying out raids from door to door of the opposition leaders and activists. Whoever they find in the homes they takes them away and kill them in a secret place and show recovery of their bodies from eslewhere, he alleged
The BNP leader claimed that an intelligence agency had killed Chhatra Dal leader Nuruzzaman Jony by snatching him away from his mother.
Besides, he said the body of Narail poura commissioner was found in Dhaka.
“The government has given the licences to law enforcing agencies for secretary killing and enforced disappearance only to resist the movement of the opposition,” he claimed.
Rizvi also alleged that the government is carrying out propaganda in the media to shift the responsibility of sabotage after committing those by their agents.
He said the people want the government to resign and hold an inclusive election under a non-partisan administration. – Staff  Reporter
