BNP brings out unscheduled procession for Khaleda’s release

Dhaka, Jan 25 – The BNP yesterday brought out a sudden procession in the city demanding the release of jailed chairperson Khaleda Zia, who is serving her 17-year imprisonment in two cases since February 8 last year.
The procession led by BNP senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi was brought out from Bata signal at about 12:00pm.
The BNP brought out the procession first of its kind after the December 30 parliamentary elections.
Leaders and activists of BNP and Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal took part in the procession chanting different slogans for the release of former premier.
The sudden procession was terminated in front of the Science Laboratory intersection. – Staff Reporter
