Finance Minister AMA Muhith on Wednesday said BNP does not believe in a democratic and parliamentary constitution. “They (BNP) formulate and amend the constitution under the martial law,” he said while exchanging views with local Awami League leaders and activists in the city. Muhith said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has formed the all-party polls-time government as she believes in the constitution. He alleged that BNP is not taking part in the 10th parliamentary elections after knowing their defeat is imminent as the Awami League government gave country’s people peace and progress in the last five years. The minister also alleged that BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia is conspiring to go to power through resorting to anarchy across the country as she could understand that she has no other chances for this. – UNB
