BNP leader hacked to death in Jessore

Dhaka – A BNP leader was hacked to death by some unidentified miscreants at Lohapatti in Jessore district town on Wednesday night, UNB news agency reported.

The deceased was identified as Ferdous Hossain, 52, son of Amin Uddin, a resident of Battala in Jessore Sadar upazila. Ferdous was the assistant organising secretary of the Jessore district unit of BNP.
Quoting witnesses, Officer-in-charge of Kotwali Model Police Station Ilias Hossain said some miscreants intercepted Ferdous at Lohapatti in the night and locked into an altercation with him.
At one stage, the miscreants hacked the BNP leader mercilessly, leaving him injured.
Later, he was taken to the Jessore Medical College Hospital where on-duty doctors declared him dead.
