Dead body of a teenaged girl was recovered from a hotel at Falpatty area of the city on Thursday morning.Sub- Inspector Chinmoy of Barisal Kotwali police station said after informed by a source he searching room 103 of Hotel Sunflower in the area found dead body of a girl hanging from ceiling fan but her feet touching the bed.
From the position of the dead body it was assumed that the girl was killed at first and then hanged with ceiling fan.
Police recovering the dead body sent to Barisal Sher- e- Bangla Medical College Morgue for autopsy, after lodging a case of unnatural death, the police officer said.
Locals said the hotel defamed for sex trading and the girl identified as Rita, 17, of Bakerganj.
The girl known as devotee of Rummon, bother in law and staff of hotel owner Ripon, they said.
Hotel owner and staffs went on hiding after became aware about police raid, sources told.
