A team of divers of fire fighting unit from Khulna has recovered a body of a youth from Nabaganga river in Jhenidah.
The deceased was identified as Mostafa Jaman Rana, 35 son of late Rafik Uddin of Chandipur village under Shailakupa upazila of the district.ASI Iqbal Hossain of sadar police station said, on Tuesday night at around 9-30 pm Rana went to his relative’s house Imdadul Islam Mizan at Chaklapara village of the town. When he was returning at around 11-30 pm locals chased him on suspicion. At the time he ran away and jumped into Nabaganga river to escape himself. Later, his relative tried to get his trace but in vain. Later, on Wednesday morning they informed police. On Wednesday afternoon at around 3-00 pm a team of divers of fire fighting unit from Khulna recovered his body from Nabaganga river. He might be entangled with moss and died, they said.Jhenidah Correspondent
