Country’s both the bourses, Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange, continued gain on second consecutive trading day of the week on Monday. The DSE benchmark index, DSEX gained 14.09 points or 0.34 percent to reach 4137.93 at close of trading. Of the 293 issues traded, 143 gained, 131 declined and `19 remained unchanged. Shares worth Tk 522.93 crore changed hands on the day. The top 10 gainers at the DSE were BD Auto Car, Legacy Food, Modern Dying, Rahima Food, Miracle Industry, Takaful Islami Insurance, Rangpur Foundry, ILFSL, Sonargaon Textile. and Desh Garments. The CSE key index, CSCX registered gain by 36.57 points to reach 8075.12 at the close today. Of the 228 issues traded, 107 gained, 106 declined and 15 remained unchanged. The value of the traded issues was Tk 44.09 crore. Earlier, in the morning, trading began on positive note at both the bourses. The DSEX gained 4.68 points or 0.11 percent to reach 4128.59 at 11:20 am. The CSCX gained 28.09 points to stand at 8066.64, also at 11:20 am today. – UNB
