BPL matches rescheduled

Dhaka – BFF Football Professional League Committee has rescheduled the last two round matches of the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) football beginning on Sunday.  The decision was taken at an emergency meeting held at the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) House on Friday.  As per the fresh schedule, the round-25 will start with the match between Chattogram Abahani and NoFel SC at 4pm on Sunday while Dhaka Mohammedan face Muktijoddha SKC at 7pm, both at the Bangabandhu National Stadium.  On Monday (July 29), newly crowned Bashundhara Kings will play Saif SC at 4pm at the Rafiq Uddin Bhuiyan Stadium in Mymensingh while Dhaka Abahani will take on Sheikh Jamal DC at the Bangabandhu National Stadium and Sheikh Russel KC will play Rahamatganj MFS at the Sylhet District Stadium, both at 7pm.  The round-25 will end with the match between Team BJMC and Brothers Union at 7pm at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Tuesday (July 30).  The round-26 of the 13-team BPL will begin on August 1 after recess of one day. Three matches will commence at two separate venues on the day (August 1).  Saif SC will take on Muktijoddha SKC at 4pm at the Rafiq Uddin Bhuiyan Stadium in Mymensingh while Sheikh Jamal DC will play NoFel SC at 4pm and Dhaka Mohammedan will take on Rahamatganj MFS at 7pm, both at the Bangabandhu National Stadium.   On the next day (August 2), Brothers Union face Arambagh KS at the Bangabandhu National Stadium while Sheikh Russel KC to play Team BJMC at the Sylhet District Stadium, both at 7pm.  On August 3, Chattogram Abahani will meet Bashundhara Kings at the Bangabandhu National Stadium at 5:30pm.  Star-studded Bashundhara Kings emerged new champions in their first appearance of the BPL with two matches to spare after playing a 1-1 draw with traditional Dhaka Mohammedan SC at their home venue — Sheikh Kamal Stadium — in Nilphamari on July 25.  The Kings are now on the top position securing highest 59 points from 22 matches with 19 wins, two draws and one defeat, four ahead of their nearest rivals Dhaka Abahani, which bagged 55 points from 23 ties.UNB
