SK Russel earns 1st point playing 1-1 with BJMC

Dhaka – After four successive defeats, Sheikh Russel finally earned their first point in the JB Bangladesh Premier League playing a 1-1 draw against Team BJMC in the 5th round match at Bir Muktijoddha Rafique Uddin Bhuiyan Stadium in Mymensingh on Friday.Sheikh Russel KC took the lead in the 25th minute with their Cameroonian forward Jean Jules Ikanaga’s header from the box. Ikanaga connected a curving free kick of midfielder Monaem Khan Raju from the left edge of the box, 1-0.Midfielder Zakir Hossain Jiku equalised the margin in the 50th minute by an angular shot, off a through pass from forward Mehedi Hasan Tapu from left flank, 1-1.Earlier, BJMC displayed pressing game from the beginning and earned a series of corners, but failed to create chances.Nigerian attacker Samson Ilyasu spoiled an opportunity in the 22nd minute as his right footer from the top of the six yard box was fisted by Sheikh Russell goalie Ziaur Rahman for a corner.In the dying minutes of the match, both, the teams wasted a couple of chances that forced them to share the points.With the day’s result, Team BJMC earned four points also from five
