BSF again kills Bangladeshi

Indian border guards have shot dead a Bangladesh national along the Lalmonirhat border.The incident took place early on Friday, a day after two Bangladeshis were killed in Indian firing along the Satkhira border.The victim is Amulya Barman, 38, of Hatibandha Upazila.He had gone to smuggle cattle from India with others when a BSF patrol fired on them, BGB-15 Battalion Commander Lt Col Ahmed Bazlur Rahman Hayati said.“Amulya died on spot. His companions brought his body back,” he added.The BGB officer said they had written to the BSF protesting against the incident.On Thursday, the BSF shot dead two Bangladeshis along Satkhira’s Taluigachha border.Border killings have been a contentious bilateral issue between Bangladesh and India.Indian border guards have shown no sign of restraint despite New Delhi’s repeated promise of putting an end to such killings.
