Chuadanga – A Bangladeshi national was beaten to death by members of Indian Border Security Force (BSF) along Baradi border in Damurhuda upzila on Friday. The victim was identified as Abu Hasan, 50, son of Rahim Bakhs of Nastipur village in the upazila.
Commanding officer of Border Guard Bangladesh Chuadanga Battalion-6 Col Maniruzzaman said Hasan along with three other farmers on hire went to the border area before dawn to call cattle.
At one stage, a patrol team of BSF caught Hasan and beat him mercilessly, leaving him dead on the spot.
Later, locals recovered the body around 4:30pm. – UNB
