BTI Premier Plaza fire brought under control

Dhaka – A fire which broke out at 14-storey BTI Premier Plaza at Uttar Badda in the city early hours of Wednesday has been brought under control.

Ataur Rahman, duty officer of the Fire Service and Civil Defence (FSCD) control room, said the fire erupted at the building at about 3:00am.
On information, 28 fire-fighting units rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control at about 5:50am.
No casualty was reported while the reason behind the fire also could not be known yet.
A five-member committee headed by Mozammel Hossain, deputy director of the FSCD (Dhaka Division), has been formed to investigate the fire incident, said Mijanur Rahman, duty officer of the FSCD control room.
