The budget of Gouripur municipality of Mymensingh district for the
fiscal year 2013-14, was announced at a views exchange meeting held at
the municipality conference room in the town on June 30.
Gouripur municipality Mayor Syed Rafiqul Islam announced the budget of
Tk 15,07,28,990 while preside over the meeting.
In the fiscal year 2013-14, priority has been given to the
reconstruction of damaged municipality roads and culverts, proper
drainage system and reduction of stagnant water in the municipality
area of Gouripur.
Councilors of the municipality, local elites, journalists, among
others, were present on the occasion.
Syed Rafiqul Islam said they have tried to announce a people-oriented
budget without imposing any new tax. -Our Correspondent
