The Media Alliance arranged a seminar yesterday focusing on the effective role of media in building mass awareness on climate change in Bangladesh. Many personnel from different print and electronic media, NGOs, and other public and private sectors were present in the seminar.  Within the seminar, journalists shared their experiences of reporting on climate change as well as their limitations of reporting the true picture always. The experts shared their opinion about importance of building awareness on climate change. They said, though we are not responsible for climate change but we are the sufferer of climate changes and we need to adapt the changes. At the same time we need to create global awareness so that the world can come to an end to limit the carbon emission and destruction of the environment friendly climate within the world. The experts from private sectors said giant companies should also come forward to help regarding this because there are limitations of budget within the news media to create these kinds of awareness. Moreover, our views should also be changed for CSR activities and there should be an allocation from CSR for climate changes.
