A bus helper was killed in a road accident in bus stand area of Bhandaria upazila on Thursday morning.The deceased was identified as Sagor, 20, son Piyar Ali, a resident of Birkathi village in Kathalia upazila and helper of a local bus. The accident took place when a Sugandha Paribahan bus hit Sagor in the area around 7:00 am when he was giving the driver of his vehicle directions, leaving him dead on the spot, said Zakir Hossain, sub-inspector of Bhandaria police station. On information, police recovered the body and sent it to hospital morgue for an autopsy. Police seized the bus but the driver and helper of the Sugandha Paribahan bus fled away.
