Two people were killed and 32 others injured in a head-on collision
between a truck and a bus at Chilimpur in the district town on Tuesday
morning.
One of the deceased was identified as Sumon,30, son of Ful Miah of
Gaibandha sadar upazila.
Police said the accident took place when a Gaibandha bound bus from
Dhaka collided with a stone-laden truck coming from the opposite
direction at about 6 am, leaving a bus passenger dead on the spot and
33 others injured.
Among the injured, another died at Bogra Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical
College Hospital.
Police seized both the bus and the truck.
