Business leaders meeting PM on Today

Bangladesh’s top businesspeople will meet the Prime Minister on
Thursday, four days after they saw the Leader of the Opposition to
push for a political consensus over polls-time government.
Kazi Akram Uddin Ahmed, President of the apex business body FBCCI,
told bdnews24.com that they would meet Sheikh Hasina at around 11am.
On Nov 2, he led a 50-strong business delegation to a meeting with the
Opposition Leader Khaleda who agreed to their proposal for
‘unconditional talks’ at the secretary general-level between the two
parties.
The two major parties are at loggerheads over the nature of the
upcoming polls time government.
Ruling Awami League wants an all-party interim government to take over
while opposition BNP demands earlier form of caretaker government that
the current government scrapped by a constitutional amendment.
