A case has filed against Awami League MP Manjurul Islam Liton of Gaibandha-1 constituency on Saturday for attempting to murder a minor boy by firing bullets at Gopalcharan village in Sundarganj upazila on Friday.Officer-in-charge of the police station Jinnat Ali said the victim’s father Saju Miah filed the case with the police station around 9pm on Saturday.
Earlier, stray bullets from the pistol of MP Manjurul Islam Liton struck 8-year-old boy Sourav when Liton was going to his Bamondanga village home driving his own car around 5 am, leaving the boy injured.
Later, the boy who received two bullets in his two legs, was rushed to Sundarganj Upazila Health Complex and then shifted to Rangpur Medical College Hospital.- UNB
