‘Change hostile attitude towards tigers’

Speakers at a discussion here on Monday urged all to change their ‘hostile attitude’ towards the tiger to save the endangered animal.   They also suggested the forest officials to take necessary steps to conserve the animal in the Sundabans, the world’s largest habitat of the big cat.
The western wing of the Sunderbans Forest Division, in collaboration with the district administration, organised the discussion, titled ‘Save tigers, Save the Motherly Sundarbans’ in the city marking the Global Tiger Day observed on the day.
Speaking on the occasion, Khulna Divisional Commissioner M Abdul Jalil called upon all concerned to work wholeheartedly to conserve tiger.   In this regard, he also stressed the need for raising awareness among people.
