Charge framing against ex-MP Pinto’s wife deferred

Dhaka – A Dhaka court on Tues day deferred the charge framing against 69 persons including late BNP leader Nasir Uddin Ahmed Pinto’s wife Nasima Akhter Kalpana in a case filed under the Explosive Substances Act for setting on fire a BRTC bus.Earlier, it was decided to frame charge against the accused on October 31. However, the defence lawyers filed a petition seeking more time while Judge of the Sixth Special Tribunal of Dhaka granted time and fixed February 4, 2018, next hearing to frame charge.
Of the accused 42 are now on bail including Nasima Akhter Kalpana and the remaining accused are at large. – Special Correspondent
