Charge sheet submitted in Blogger Washiqur killing case

The Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police submitted the charge sheet of blogger Washiqur Rahman Babu murder case to a Dhaka court against five people on Tuesday afternoon.
The accused whose names are included in the charge sheet are Zikrullah alias Hasan, Ariful Islam, Saiful Islam and Abu Taher Junayed alias Taher and Hasib alias Abdullah. Of them, Taher and Abdullah had been on the run since the murder on March 30 of this year.Blogger Washiqur Rahman Babu, 26, an employee of Far East Travels Limited was stabbed by a group of assailants, numbering about three, near South Begunbari Jame Mosque under Tejgaon Industrial Police Station on March 30.
Police rescued injured Washiqur Rahman and rushed him to Dhaka Medical
College Hospital (DMCH) where the physicians declared him dead. Later, police arrested suspected killers, Zikrullah, 20, a student of Hathazari Madrasah in Chittagong, and Ariful Islam, 20, a student of Mirpur Section-1 Darul Ulum Madrasah from the area.
Contacted, Deputy Commissioner (DC) of DB (North Division)   Md Sajjadur Rahman said the charge sheet was submitted on Tuesday afternoon.
Blogger Washiqur Rahman Babu, 26, who was also an employee of Far East Travels Ltd, was stabbed by a group of assailants, numbering at least three, near South Begunbari Jame Mosqueunder Tejgaon Industrial police station in the morning of March 30.
Being informed a team of Tejgaon Industrial thana police rescued injured Washiqur and rushed him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where doctors declared him dead.
Police arrested two of the suspected killers– Zikrullah, 20, a student of Hathajari Madrasah in Chittagong, and Ariful Islam, 20, a student of Mirpur Section 1 Darul Ulum Madrasah from the area. – Specialo Correspondent
