Dhaka – Both men and women teams of Bangladesh won their respective 3rd round games in the 42nd World Chess Olympiad in
Baku of Azerbaijan on Monday.In the open section of the meet, Bangladesh men team beat Jordan by 3.5-0.5 points while the women team outplayed Uruguay by 2.5-1.5 points in the women section,UNB news agency reported.
In the third round matches, GM Enamul Hossain Rajib beat Aboudi Marwan, GM Ziaur Rahman outplayed IM Ahmed Al Khatib and IM Mohammad Minhaz Uddin defeated FM Mohammad Farhan while GM Mollah Abdullah Al Rakib drew with FM Mansour Sameer.In the women section, WIM Shamima Akter Liza beat Silva Rosas Natalia, WFM Sharmin Sultana Shirin drew with Larrea Deniela, WFM Nazrana Khan Eva shared points with Quevedo Andreina and WFM Zakia Sultana drew with Perez Cecilia Manuela.
