Chief Executive of WaterAid due today

Barbara Frost, Chief Executive and Girish Menon, Deputy Chief Executive and International Programme Director of WaterAid are scheduled to arrive Dhaka on Saturday on a week-long official visit to Bangladesh.The visit of the officials mainly aims to see different programmes and achievements of WaterAid in the country.
During the stay in Bangladesh, they will visit various programmes of WaterAid at Koira, Shakhipur and Dhaka. The officials have also schedule to meet various stakeholders including government high official officials, NGOs and donors.
Barbara led the development of WaterAid’s global strategy that promotes its vision and values, and its four aims which link the work of all WaterAid members – the UK, America, Australia and Sweden.
In her early career Barbara worked in Australia with the Federal and State governments, as well as in voluntary and community sector, before moving to Africa and then back to the UK.
Girish heads International Programmes Department which oversees WaterAid’s programmes in 27 countries through four (Asia, West Africa, East Africa and Southern Africa) regional teams. Girish joined WaterAid in January 2005 from the Department for International Development (DFID) India, where he worked as a Social Development Adviser for two and a half years. Prior to this, he worked with international NGOs – Plan International and ActionAid for four years and 10 years respectively.
